Cover image for The fault in our stars

The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, focuses on how two intelligent, mature teens grapple with very adult issues. Hazel and Gus meet at a support group for cancer victims and bond over Hazel's favorite book, in which the main character also has cancer. The book ends in the middle of a sentence, and Hazel and Gus become consumed with locating the author to find out what happened to the characters. The journey to find the author doesn't go as anticipated, but the two learn a great deal about themselves in the process.
