Greetings Saukville Elementary Students, Parents/Guardians, and
We have completed an outstanding second quarter and our students are learning and having tons of fun. I would also like to take this opportunity to brag a little about our students.
As you may remember last year SES participated in the Badger Exam which replaced the WKCE as our state assessment. Well, SES has been recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Instruction as a High Achieving School based on our scores in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Only 20 Elementary or Middle Schools reached this status in the state of Wisconsin. To qualify as “High Achieving”, a school needed to meet all Annual Measurable Objectives for achievement, have achievement gaps that are less than 3 points between student groups, and show high achievement at the school level. We will be receiving a plaque in Madison on March 14. This year Wisconsin will be replacing the Badger Exam with the Forward Exam which we will be taking in spring.
We are just finishing Parent/Teacher Conferences and our staff was very excited to discuss your child’s education and to show how far he/she had come during the first semester. It was wonderful to see so many families at conferences.
Be sure to check out our Eagle Edition online as it highlights some of the great things happening at SES.
Thank you and as always... GO EAGLES!
