High Achieving School
State Superintendent Tony Evers awarded Dunwiddie Elementary School as one of 21 High Achieving schools in the state of Wisconsin. This recognition is based on the state assesments in reading and in math.
Our Schools of Recognition are staffed by dedicated educators,” Evers said. “Their success is something to celebrate; it serves as an example of the importance of schools, families, and communities working together to ensure that every child graduates ready for college and careers.”
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Community Members,
We are excited about the 2017-18 school year and are honored to work with the children in the Dunwiddie neighborhood. Our team of educators is second to none and is committed to continue strengthening the culture of learning, positive relationships, and community at Dunwiddie Elementary. Each day we strive to inspire, motivate, and educate all students. Our expectation is that every single day, every moment of the day, every child is better off because of his/her interaction with the adults in our school.
A strong partnership between home, school, and the community is so important for students’ success. We invite parents, relatives, and members of the community to get involved in our school in any way you are comfortable. We are always looking for volunteers to: coordinate and help with events, bring new ideas about how we can engage students and families in new ways, help with fundraising efforts, or share your talents from behind the scenes with various projects. Reach out to me directly, or contact the Dunwiddie Parent Connection, if you are interested in helping. You will be glad you did when you see and feel the impact you are having on the lives of our kids!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. It truly is a special place here, and I am so grateful to be part of it; I hope you are too.
