Message from the Principal

  • Greetings Saukville Elementary Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members:

    I would like to welcome all of you to the 2018-2019 school year.  I hope everyone had an exciting summer and are all fired up for another great year at SES.  Our mission is always to educate all students to their fullest potential in a safe, caring, and productive learning environment.

     Once again our entire staff worked very hard this past summer to make sure your child is receiving the best education possible here at SES.  Please feel free to contact the teachers at any time with questions. 

    The Saukville Parent Association (SPA) has also been meeting and setting their goals for the school year.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officers for their continual dedication to improving our school.  Whether it is Fall Festival, High Interest Day, or the many Family Fun Nights, our students are constantly being provided with fun and exciting enrichment opportunities.  Our officers this year are Kara Stasik (President), Amanda Goetz (Vice President), Kristin Lengle (Treasurer), and Carmen Goeden (Secretary).  Please feel free to contact any of the officers for more information regarding SPA or how to get involved. 

    I would like to close by thanking all you, our parents and guardians for entrusting us with your most prized possessions for another year.  We truly appreciate the honor of working with your children and look forward to working with all of you this school year.  Please call the office anytime if you have questions, or feel free to e-mail any staff member with any questions you may have regarding your child.

    Our Annual Mother/Son Event… is Friday, May 17 from 4:30-7:30pm in Port Washington.  Selfie capability is required for this event.  Cost is $7.00 per child in advance and $9.00 per child at the door.  Advanced registraton must be submitted by Wedneday, May 1.  Please see the flyer more info.

    Moms Your Day Is Finally Here!... On Friday, May 10 at 7:30am in the cafeterai is our Annual Muffins With Mom.  Please see the sheet for all the info.  What a wonderful way to celebrate our moms!!

    We Are In The Need Of… supplies for High Interest Day.  If you would be able to donate any items on the High Interest Day Supplies list, please drop them off in the office no than Thursday, May 2.  Thanks!!

    Congratulations… and welcome to our new SPA officers Vanessa Marratt, President and Bridget Ruffin, Secretary.  We are very excited and look forward working with you!! 

    A Big Thank You… to our retiring SPA Officers Kara Stasik and Carmen Goeden for all the time, effort, and dedication you put in to our students, staff, and school!  You are truly the best J

    “Dino-Mite: Stomp, Chomp, and Read”… Spring Book Fair is right around the corner!  This is a “Buy One Get One” event with deals galore!!  The Fair will run May 6-10 in the SES Library.  Stock up now for your summer reading!

    Congratulations… goes to Brantlee Prom, Gus Azinger, Lucy McIlheran, Brayden Wilson-Ford, Zoe Lengle, Aryana Karrels, Connor Brown, Kiara Pinkston, Maxx Bonilha, Makenzie Marratt, Reagan Dinkel, Isabella McGraw, Ellis Grover, and Alex Price for earning the “Principal’s Outstanding Eagle Award”.  The students were nominated for displaying March’s character trait of TRUSTWORTHINESS.  Way to go!!

    Summer School Registration… will open on Wednesday, May 1 at 12pm.  There is a Summer School link on the SES webpage which will take you to the instructions, catalog, and supplement needed to set up your account.

    Open Enrollment… for the 2019-2020 school year ends on Tuesday, April 30 at 4:00pm. Late applications will not be accepted for any reason. The recommended method of applying is through the online application process at http://dpi.wi.gov/oe. This site also has answers to frequently asked questions. A direct link is available on the main page of the District website under parents.

    Missing A Permission Slip?… The SES webpage is a great resource for keeping up to date on all that is happening at the school.  Just follow this link.  You will find everything from permission slips to sign-up sheets for events to Tuesday Tidbits.  Be sure to scroll down the page so you don’t miss a single thing!
