Message from the Principal

  • Greetings Saukville Elementary Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members:

I would like to welcome all of you to the 2018-2019 school year.  I hope everyone had an exciting summer and are all fired up for another great year at SES.  Our mission is always to educate all students to their fullest potential in a safe, caring, and productive learning environment.

Once again our entire staff worked very hard this past summer to make sure your child is receiving the best education possible here at SES.  Please feel free to contact the teachers at any time with questions.

The Saukville Parent Association (SPA) has also been meeting and setting their goals for the school year.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officers for their continual dedication to improving our school.  Whether it is Fall Festival, High Interest Day, or the many Family Fun Nights, our students are constantly being provided with fun and exciting enrichment opportunities.  Our officers this year are Kara Stasik (President), Amanda Goetz (Vice President), Kristin Lengle (Treasurer), and Carmen Goeden (Secretary).  Please feel free to contact any of the officers for more information regarding SPA or how to get involved.

I would like to close by thanking all you, our parents and guardians for entrusting us with your most prized possessions for another year.  We truly appreciate the honor of working with your children and look forward to working with all of you this school year.  Please call the office anytime if you have questions, or feel free to e-mail any staff member with any questions you may have regarding your child.

Thank you, and as always, GO EAGLES!

    Mr. Brakke
    Principal

Tuesday Tidbits

  • Tuesday Tidbits

Keep Them Coming!!... SPA is still collecting gently used or new shoes for the SES Shoe Drive through Friday, April 5.  Bins are located at Oscar Grady Library, Here We Grow, as well as the school lobby.  Spring is right around the corner so start your cleaning now!

Be A Part Of The Fun!!... High Interest Day is Friday, May 3 and it takes a big team to run this event.  We are looking for volunteers that morning from 8:30am-11:30am.  If you are able to help, please fill out the Volunteer Sheet and return it by Friday, April 12.  Keep in mind volunteering does not have you running a session, just assisting the leader!  Thank you!

Next High Interest Day Meeting… is Thursday, March 21 in the Staff Lounge at 6pm.

Note From The GYM…  Many students are with NO gym shoes!  Gym shoes help keep students safe and active.  Please check to make sure your child’s shoes still fit and the laces or straps still work.  IF you have extra gym shoes, we always will take them!  We have a shoe bucket for those who forget their shoes!  Thanks.

We’re Going To ROAR Into Reading… at the Spring Book Fair from May 6-10.  It requires lots of volunteers to run the Spring BOGO Fair!!  If you would like to help out please click on Spring Book Fair Volunteers to sign up.  You will find volunteer descriptions there as well.  Any questions be sure to email the Book Fair Chair, Jori Zinuticz at jori.sigler@gmail.com.  So sign-up and help our little dinosaurs Stomp, Chomp and Read this spring!

Looking For A Way To Help Out?… Consider becoming our Box Tops Coordinator.  Mrs. Page who has been doing it for the past few years is moving on up to TJMS and needs to pass it on.  If interested, please respond to this email.  The Box Tops brings 100s of dollars directly back to the classrooms and we need you to keep it going!!

Calling All Dads… Muffins With Mom is not until May but we need to know any dad who can help us out on Friday, May 10.  If you are able to volunteer please contact Kara Stasik at stasikkara@att.net.  Thanks!

Congratulations… goes to Jayden Karrels, Ava Dolan, Alyas Albrecht, Parker Didier, Alex Nasiopulos, Ava Bates, Landon Guetzke, Ben Uhan, Calvin Azinger, Chloe Schnappup, Kayden Stasik, Connor Zinuticz, Piper Morgan, Kiya Sullivan for earning the “Principal’s Outstanding Eagle Award”.  The students were nominated for displaying February’s character trait of TRUSTWORTHINESS.  Way to go!!

Now’s The Time… to get your name on the ballot for SPA President or Secretary.  If you are interested in running please let Kara Stasik (stasikkara@att.net) know by Friday, March 15.  This is a great opportunity to get involved in your child’s school!!
