Welcome to Thomas Jefferson Middle School in beautiful Port Washington WI!
We are a community of approximately 750 energetic and exceptional 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade learners. The entire Thomas Jefferson Middle School (affectionately known as "TJ") staff, in partnership with our parents and community, is committed to helping students as they achieve their academic and personal potential in a positive, supportive and collaborative learning environment. We truly are a team - and the TJ staff is completely invested in ensuring your child's success. A core principle of our programing at Thomas Jefferson is built upon the belief that the student - staff relationship is the cornerstone of the learning process. Simply put, rapport and trust have to be developed before real learning can begin.
Students are offered a wide variety of curricular options that enable them to develop new skills, interests, and knowledge to reach high levels of success. In addition, our students are engaged and involved in numerous activities, clubs, athletics and fine arts programs. This wide variety of options fits with our overarching school philosophy that student engagement leads directly to student success! In addition, our staff is committed to very specific goals in the areas of Literacy, Math and Communications.
Thank you for your interest in Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Should you be interested in learning more about our vibrant learning community, please don't hesitate to contact us!
