Intellectually Gifted Identification Process

1. Student pool for intellectually gifted
· teachers complete assessments as needed on each student
2. Individual student profiles are prepared by Gifted and Talented Coordinator
· test data (achievement test scores and other available resources)
· teacher observation data (Renzulli-Hartmann Assessment, Classroom Teacher Nomination Form)
· performance data (past TAG activities, classroom performance, portfolios)
· parent-provided data (Parent Nomination Form)
3. TAG Identification Team meeting
· teachers, content specialists, guidance, principal, and G/T Coordinator
· each student is assessed to determine the appropriate level of programming:
Regular school programming - the regular curriculum meets the student's needs
Level One programming - the student will receive enrichment of the regular curriculum
Level Two programming - the student will receive Level One programming AND shall be invited to participate in appropriate TAG options
Level Three programming - the student will receive Level One programming AND Level Two programming AND flexible pacing is initiated
