I have been involved in public education since 1995, as both a teacher and a counselor. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education in English and Psychology from the University of Eau Claire in 1995. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling from Concordia University in 2002. I feel fortunate to have joined the Port Washington High School Counseling Department in the fall of 2007. I work with the beginning third of our student alphabet and also serve as a Student Council Advisor. I am an active member of both the PWSSD AODA Coalition and Mental Health Committee. My husband, Mark, is also a math teacher here at PWHS, and we live with our three boys right here in Port Washington. With one child in elementary school, one in middle school and one in high school, we have a first-hand view of the excellent education and opportunities provided here in the Port Washington School District.
