    Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher

I have been proudly employed by the PWSSD since 2001; hired to my current position at Port Washington High School in the Fall of 2007.

An undergraduate degree from UW-Whitewater, BBA in Business Management with separate emphases in Marketing and Leadership, in 1995 was followed by years in the business world before pursuing a special education teacher license through the 10-Sped certification program. A master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University followed.

There is no career I would love more than where I have landed.  My goal as a teacher is to help guide my students through their high school years successfully, boosting their academic skills and self-confidence along the way.

As a Cross-Categorical Special Education teacher, I assist students with a variety of eligibilities including but not limited to: Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Physical Handicaps, and Autism. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding eligibility or the services I provide.

Your past is not your potential

    Abilities outweigh disabilities

Your ability is stronger than your disability

When you know better, you do better

Your disability need not be a handicap

The only disability in life is a bad attitude
