Message from the Principal
It is with great pride and privilege that I, Thad Gabrielse, serve as High School Principal for the students, staff, and community of Port Washington. This is a beautiful city filled with supportive and caring community members that are responsible for this impressive remodeled building conducive to comprehensive student learning and education. I reside from outside of the Port Washington Saukville School District but Port Washington has and forever will be my home.
Born and raised and still residing in Oostburg, Wisconsin, I began my educational career as a Technology Education Teacher and Athletic Director at Howards Grove High School. After receiving my Masters in Educational Administration at Concordia University, I was blessed to gain employment as an Athletic Director and Assistant Principal here at Port Washington High School and had served 10 years prior to becoming the Principal in 2020.
For me, Port Washington High School is a “destination school.” For reasons already for mentioned, but also because of our outstanding staff and students. The faculty and staff at our school are excellent motivators, who encourage and educate our students with enthusiasm, coupled with extensive learning strategies and a variety of learning programs designed to develop the greatest potential of each and every student. We are also extremely proud that we can offer a wide range of Activities to our students that will support their learning and social experience. We may not be a Division 1 size school, but we do offer Division 1 opportunities through our academic programing and extra-curricular activities.
We have a lot to be proud of here at Port Washington High School and it is grounded in community support. As we continue to move forward and provide even more positive opportunities for students, we invite our families and community to be involved in our school. It truly takes an entire village to raise our youth to be the best that they can be. My office is always open, so please feel free to contact me or any of our High School Administrators. In addition please utilize our High School websites which contains many valuable resources and answers to your questions.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
