Happy Music in Schools Month!
There is no better way to celebrate the power of music education than by highlighting the incredible talent right here in our hallways. We are beyond proud of our dedicated musicians who poured their hearts into their performances at the district WSMA Solo & Ensemble festival this past Saturday.
The results speak for themselves: our PWHS band and choir students took on 38 different events, and an incredible 23 of those are now advancing to the State festival! CONGRATS and keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Grady Karrels on reaching an incredible achievement tonight — 1,000 career points!
In a thrilling regional championship game that came down to the very final seconds, Grady was able to hit this milestone right on his home court, making the moment even more special.
History was also made tonight for Port Washington Boys Basketball. For the first time ever, two players in the same season have reached the 1,000 career point milestone. This is a huge accomplishment and something that only a select few players ever achieve.
Grady, we are incredibly proud of you and all the hard work you’ve put in to reach this moment. Congratulations on an amazing achievement!

First graders ventured out to view First Stage’s rendition of Peter Pan and Wendy. The reviews were resoundingly positive with all the children getting “hooked” the moment the curtain opened! (And a little birdie told us that the bus driver was extremely complimentary of our little darlings and their fabulous behavior. Way to go, Lincoln Lions!)

To kick off #PWSSDReads and celebrate the start of #NationalReadingMonth, we had a very special guest reader in Mr. Clark’s third-grade classroom at Dunwiddie Elementary School. Superintendent McMahon stopped by to dive into Chapter One of Fenway and Hattie! 📖🐾
The students were all ears as we started the adventures of the impulsive little dog, Fenway, and his favorite human, Hattie. It was the perfect way to spark our love for literacy this March.
A huge thank you to Superintendent McMahon for spending time with our third graders and helping us launch this district-wide reading celebration!

THROWBACK THURSDAY!
As we continue to look forward to a brand-new Saukville Elementary, today we’re looking back at the last time major work was done on our current building, over 36 years ago!.
This photo by Vern Arendt from December 6, 1989, shows former principal Leo Gall handling the ribbon-cutting honors for the school's last major addition. Joining him were school board member Sue Engelman, former principal Irv Luisier, and George Eger.
While this building has been our home for decades, and a couple more years into the future, we are so excited to start fresh and build a "New Saukville" for the next generation!
