National Custodian Day is a great opportunity to recognize the staff members who take such good care of our schools! ✨
Our custodians clean and prepare classrooms, care for hallways and common areas, help with building needs, and make sure spaces are ready for everything from the school day to evening events.
Thank you for the work you do to support our students, staff, and families!

Congratulations to two outstanding PWSSD educators! On August 19, Harmony Kroeger and Sarah Riemer celebrated a major professional milestone by earning their National Board Certification and attending the pinning ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion in Madison, WI.
Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to Special Education are inspiring. We couldn't be more proud! 👏

It's National School Backpack Awareness Day! 🎒
Choosing the right backpack and wearing it correctly can go a long way toward keeping students comfortable and injury-free. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
✅ Use both strapssingle-shoulder carrying puts uneven strain on the body
✅ Keep the total load to 10-15% of your child's body weight
✅ Pack heavier items closest to the back
✅ Straps should be snug but not too tight
✅ Regularly remove items that do not need to be there

September is Attendance Awareness Month. A great reminder that every school day matters! 💯
Strong attendance helps students stay connected to their learning, classmates, teachers, and school community.
Families can help build strong attendance habits by establishing consistent morning and bedtime routines, scheduling appointments outside the school day when possible, planning ahead for transportation, and communicating with the school when challenges arise.
Thank you for partnering with us to help students be at school, on time, and ready to learn! 🤝
